A HOME AWAY FROM HOME
minutes in the car
mini suitcases packed
We have always wanted to do a country escape but have never found the time to go. This was a last minute decision to get away for some much needed relaxation. As it was only 30 minutes down the road SO it was a no brainer. Its always the trips that you haven't planned which turn out to be the best in my opinion. Everyone had told us to visit the Four Seasons Hampshire and it had always been on our list! It was exactly how i thought it would be but with an extra 👌🏽...
When arriving you drive up a long pathway leading up to the Georgian Manor House with exquisite grounds. We parked up and checked in with a huge welcome from the staff along with their beautiful labroador Oliver and some pug lovers that were obsessed with Mila our pug straight way (right crowd). Instantly you feel at home and at ease in this beautiful understated manor. Decorated in warm earth tones, with large vintage inspired floral arrangements as guests enter the Four Seasons Experience.
We were taken to our Heritage Room situated on the ground floor located on the east and west wings with leading views over the estates grounds. The room was spacious with a large seating area and large windows to take in that English countryside. The room was light and decorated with mixed prints that reflect the countryside, a large comfortable bed with dark wood finishings along with a incredible full marble bathroom (LIFE GOALS) and of course a little brown checked bed for Mila along with some water and some little treats.
A quick latte and a little unpack and the hunters were on... We love our walks and so does Mila so we spent the afternoon exploring the grounds along with a few cow selfies. The grounds are beautiful, well looked after. It wasn't the best of days but as long as you wrap up warm you will be fine. There are so many hidden gems everywhere you look, we did manage to get lost but when you know a spa is just a few steps away the 4 mile walk was worth every second. Its safe to say Mila enjoyed her first walk at The Four Seasons Hampshire and was ready for a little snooze while we enjoyed the luxury of the spa. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone so I would suggest arranging a pet sitter while you are off exploring.
I can be very fussy about a spa, for me cleanliness is the most important and the convenience of each area. The spa did not disappoint, now in a swimsuit and a classic white robe, the pug had been fed and walked, the football watched, it was my time to shine ⭐️ . I began by exploring the women's area of the spa with various rooms to relax and enjoy on a perfect Saturday afternoon. For me my favourite was the upstairs relaxation room with large heated beds, magazines and passion fruit infused water. I sat there for 30 minutes, taking in the light music, with my water, no phone, on my own with just silence.
Time to mingle, i went down to the main pool area and relaxed on a bed whilst reading my current book The Versions of Us which is a must and great for this type of trip. The outside Jaquizi was another huge factor of my spa experience. Located on the side of the manor leading into the pool, with a garden seating area to relax, the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea and take in the great British weather.
So it was time to eat and of course we had to venture down to Seasons offering a French / European menu.

As we came in particular to be able to have a getaway with our dog without compromising on the accommodation The Four Seasons Hampshire was just perfect for us.
One thing left to do, the sun was shining and we ready for another 4 miles.
Hunters back on..
⓸ miles later...
Back from another scenic walk and it was time to make our way home. Four Seasons Hampshire is a must go for anyone looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of London to enjoy a relaxed week/weekend break.
The staff were more than accommodating and had already prepared waters and Mila's bed for our journey home...
