THE CIRCUS IS IN TOWN ★🃟
THE DECORUM were lucky enough to take part in all the Circus fun last week, a truly unique dining experience, thanks to JPR ★. In the heart of Covent Garden, we entered a whole new world of cabaret, flame throwers and hilarious comedians hidden behind the mysterious black door on Endell Street. TBH- us 2 are always looking for a more exciting dining experience, and even though Circus is not a new restaurant, it remains a staple for LDN eating with a twist - (or fire-eating cheerleaders at the least). As soon as you walk into the venue you are automatically engulfed in the atmosphere - taking you back to when you were a lil kid and you had that adrenaline rush when you sat in your seat at the circus. With a Pan-Asian menu - it is a much healthier alternative to candy floss..
"WELCOME TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH"
THE "SHOW TABLE" is what its all about if you want to really feel part of the act... A place for you and your pals to choose from the vast sharing menu whilst watching the acts perform 1 metre in front of you. Acts are on every 30mins, varying from drag queens singing, cabaret, cheerleading fire throwers and comedians. The subtle touches really make this restaurant come to life, the elephant statue, the long bar, the low hanging lights, everywhere you look there is something unique. This restaurant has everything all in one place, and these days we want convenience and we want to be entertained.

its what we're here for
FOIE GRAS GYOZA
-LIGHT AND FLUFFY WITH A FLAVOURSOME FILLING
not to mention the accompaniment of hoop entertainment
YELLOW TAIL SASHIMI
-A FRESH AND ZESTY ENTREE
Act 1 consisted of yellow tail sashimi in a truffle soy, jalapeno, pickled beetroot and fennel sauce.. for us the true winner. A light and excellent flavour complementing the foie gras gyoza perfectly.
A TRIPLE S
Sushi, Seabass, Steak
with a scintillating comedian to watch
It was just getting better, Act 2 we decided to go for a mixture of meat and fish to really get a feel for the menu. The Black Angus Fillet steak was cooked as requested, a fabulous medium rare, accompanied with shiitake mushrooms, asparagus and caramel soy.
The Chilean sea bass arrived, wrapped in a banana leaf, with black bean, shaoxing wine, garlic and ginger. The sea bass was soft and perfectly cooked, and the presentation was something out of the ordinary, it was not your average plate of fish, of course it wasn't, we're talking about Circus London.
We are both huge Japanese fans so the night would have not been complete without a prawn tempura maki topped with yellow tail, pickled diakon, avocado, yuzu tobiko and kim chee aioli. The rolls were the perfect size and the taste was fresh and flavoursome adding a new and unique twist to an otherwise basic prawn tempura roll.
presented with an all singing all dancing drag queen
